HOBOKEN, NJ, JULY 1, 2009 -- Peter J. Cammarano waves to the crowd after being

sworn in as Hoboken's 37th and youngest mayor at the Stevens Institute

of Technology. He was joined by his wife, Marita and daughter, Abigail.

On July 23, 2009, just twenty-three days after assuming the office of mayor,

Cammarano was arrested by the FBI as part of a major corruption and

international money laundering conspiracy probe known as Operation Bid Rig.

Cammarano was charged by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey

with accepting $25,000 in cash bribes from an undercover cooperating witness.
