JERSEY CITY, N.J., SEPT. 22, 2016 -- Whoopi Goldberg visited Mana Contemporary to kick off the month-long exhibit, "Marilyn: Character Not Image," which she curated. The sheer gown Marilyn Monroe wore when she serenaded John F. Kennedy with a breathy version of "Happy Birthday to You" on May 19, 1962 was the centerpiece of the exhibit. Also on view were photos of the Hollywood star by Milton Greene and Weegee as well as select video footage, and poems and drawings by the actress. (Reena Rose Sibayan | The Jersey Journal)
